EX-NAVAL MEN FOR NEW ZEALAND

LONDON, 27th May. The general secretary of the Navy Loague, Rear-Admiral Hopwood, has received a letter from the Canterbury branch stating' that if the head office can recommend any deserving men of good repute, and with a clean discharge, the New Zealand office will endeavour to find positions for them. "Some men, no doubt," the New 2lealand secretary writes, "will have a. little money which they might desire to put into a email business; others, again, might like to take up some form of employment to give them time to find out more about the place and the- possibilities. In either case the committee will do what it can to help them."
As a result of the publicity given to this.offer, many applications from ex-navaT men have been received. Applicants aro for the most part of the engineer-artificer type, and are woll qualified to become first-clo.ss citizens in New Zealand.
