SALE REPORT
Harry Palmer and Co. report on the Palmetrston North mart sale : We report big entries of pigs, horses, vehicles, and poultry, and! the demand was ■exceptionally keen. The attendance throughout the day was very large, and this sale makes five record mart sales in eight weeks. Following were the sales: — 76 pi£;s entered. All sold. Weaners and slips 14s 6d small to 395, stores 39s to 555, porkers 63s to 66s 6d, taconers to £5 17s, sows to £10; pony, gig, and! harness £42, horse, gig, and harness £26 and £23, bay maro £11, motor-cycle £73 10s, hens 5s 6d to 13s 6d; pair, ducks 10s to 17s, cockerels to 225, pullet's to 15s, turkeys to 445, apples to 9s bushel. Produce and new and secondhand furniture were in very large demand. Harness cold in largo quantities.
