Athletic on Saturday last gave a. brilliant display both back and, forward, whilst Oriental are improving every week. It is quite possible that the magpies may create more than one surprise before the season is far advanced. A first-class early gam© between St. Patrick's College and Athletic has been arranged. At Petone, Poneke—so far unbeaten and winners of last year's championship— will meet Petone. Good judges look to a fast ' contest with little difference between the scores at the finish.
