THOMAS MOORE ANNIVERSARY.

To-day being the natal day of Thomas Moore, Ireland's noted poet, the committee appointed to fittingly celebrate the event has arranged, a programme consisting exclusively of Moore's works, and has secured the services of the best talent procurable tc- interpret the numbers, including two Australian singers of repute, Mr. Walter Whyte, tenor, and Miss Belle Pollard, soprano. The duet, "Has Sorrow Thy Young Days Shaded ?" will be sung by Miss Pollard and Mr. Whyte. Miss' Teresa M'Enroe will sing "At the Mid Hour of Night," and Miss Eileen Driscoll "The Youne; May Moon." Mr. Kevin Dillon -will recite "The Prince's Day." In addi' tion to these and other items by wellknown singers, the winner of the competitions will repeat the test pieces, and the combined competing choirs will, with grand 'organ accompaniment, give one of the test pieces.
