LOYALTY
TO THE EDITOK. Sir,—Mr.. P. Fraser is reported to have said at the City Council meeting on Tuesday "that if,cailed upon he was quite prepared to jlnstiiy hia attitude towards, the Prince of Wales and th© system of Government he represented." As' this system of government is approved of and desired by an overwhelming majority of the citizens of our Empire, why does not Mr. Fraser go to a meeting with a "system of government" such as he approves of? The very system of which Mr. Fraser disapproves provides . him with the freedom to say a.nd do thnigs against the country's Constitution, which if done or said. against some of the Con-, stituiions he applauds would cost him liis liberty or life. It is significant that the men holding certain views have always and probably will always * take shelter under the Union Jack to secure tho necessary freedom and liberty to publicly air their views, and they abuse the hospitality of their protectous by slanging the .very Constitution which guarantees them that liberty.—l am, etc., BRITISHER. i " 25th May 4
