LONDON, 26th May. Obituary.— Major-General Sir Alexander former Commandant of the Victorian Forces, aetat 82 years. .
[Major-General Sir Alexander Bruce Tulloch, who was born in Edinburgh in 1838, served in the Crimea in 1855-56, in India in 1857.-58, in the China campaign 1859-60, and in the Egyptian campaign in 1882. He wcs created a C.M.G. for arrangements made in Australia whereby tho different colonies agreed to furnish the necespary fund.i to build fortifications and barracks at tha important coaling' ports of King George's Sound and Thursday Island, and wins president' of a joint naval and military committee which docided on the positions o£ the batteries. H$ retired in J595.J
