"THE LITTLE DAMOZEL."
The fascinating comedy,. "The Little Damozel," will be presented at the Grand Opera House this evening for the first time in Wellington, by Messrs. J. and N. Tait's Comedy Drama Players. "The Little Damozel" is the romance of ■a young harpist, Julie Aiardy, who finds that the course of true love runs anything but smoothly, however blameless she is for adverse . conditions. Julie's musical duties include playing in a restaurant, wh^gre she in wooed and won by the elderly and wealthy Captain Partington. Later, this person decides to break with Julie, and to do it decently, as he thinks, promises an attractive young waster, ' Recklaw Poole, a handsome cheque if he can win the hand and marry Julie. Poole succeeds, and the marriage turns out quite ajiappy one, antil Poole finds that Partington hag become engaged to his former fiance, Sybil Carew. Miss Ernita- Lascelles and Mr. Herbert Hanson are given' a great chance to show their powers* in emotional acting. The box plans are on view at the Bristol Piano Co., while day sale tickets can be obtained at Ned Perry's, Manners-street.
