PRINCE'S VISIT
CITY WORKERS THANKED.
The Mayor (Mr. J. P. Luke) last night 'expressed his appreciation of the splendid work done in connection with the visit of tlte Prince of Wales, and the enthusiasm of th» reception was in keeping with the best British traditions, and was a stimulus to all New Zealand to follow the highest ideals of the r-ace. The children's demonstration was the outstanding feature for its enthusiasm, end the qualities that- would ' live, in the memory. Tha Prince,' and those 'associated v.itii. him, expressed their <rreat pleasure with the reception. Councillor Forsyth, as chairman of the Education Board, thanked the council for its assist-iinee in the children's demo-.i- , stra-tion, arid mentioned especially'the work of the Tramways Department in, transporting the children. \
