VCHRISTCHURCH, This Day

At the Magistrate's Court to-day a prohibited person was charged with entering licensed premises dvi"ing the currency of a prohibition order, the premises being the booth at Addington Trotting Ground, Tor which a conditional license had beeh granted by the Licensing Committee. The police asked for the Magistrate's ruling as to whether a racecourse booth, constituted licensed premises. The Magistrate (Mr. S. E. M'Carthy) reserved his decision, stating that other Magistrates had held that such booths were not licensed premises.
