Details of the King of Greece's secret marriage to Mdlle. Manos show that the latter belongs to a patrician family. King Alexander formed a romantic attachment with her in his boyhood, not expected to siicceed to the throne. He persisted ii> marrying her in 1919, despite the Greek law.
