ROME, 25rd May.
There are grave industrial troubles with ugly incidents connected with the unemployed agitations in the north-east provinces. In Camia- eighteen communes were seized and the Red. flag hoisted. The Soviet Government lasted one day. Heavy reinforcements of troops restored order. A general strike has been launched in protest. The Carnia incident- aggravated the bellicose at-, titude of 'the railwaymen, and even prisoners are refusing to work, claiming an eight-hour day. The newspapers view the situation with apprehension, and urge Signor Nitti to show a firm hand, the safety of Italy depending on that course.
