"THE LITTLE DAMOZEL."
Tho Wellington public can look forward with confidence to good acting performances from Miss E'rnita Lascelks and Mr. Herbert Eanson in "The Little Damozel," which is to be played at the Grand Opera, House for the first, time in Wellington on Thursday evening next. Of their performances in this romance the Otago Daily Times says :—"Miss Ernita Lascelles had a much more exacting role than in 'Daddies,' and proved herself fully equal to the task. As the happy wife she was natural and winsome, but it was when tragedy stared her in the face that shs' achieved her greatest success. ... Mr. Herbert Ranson as Eeclaw Poole gave a. .very fine portra-yal of a gentleman {alien from his estate, but -who_ ultimately regains his manhood. Both in the comedy parts and in the dramatic scenes he succeeded thoroughly, and shared with Miss Lascelles the triumph achieved in the two big dramatic scenes. Tho box plans are at- thft Bristol.
