An estate of 646 acres ljns been purchased from the Earl of Onsiow ?t an average price 0f.£58 per acre, and 200 acres are to he devoted to houses at the rate of five to the acre. The Ministry of Health has approved the scheme, subject to 200 houses at least bein<; erected within the next eighteen mouths. It is intended to includo the site ultimately in the Borough of Gnildford, which will be thus increased by a square mile. The tofcn.l cost w estimated at £1,000,000. Building is to bs begun in May.
