A FURTHER DECLINE. At the.local hide sales held yesterday,, there was a weaker demand for all sorts p.xcept ox hides. Cow hides were down Id to ljjd. kips and yearlings £d to ljd, calfskins 3d to 7d per pound down, according to Levin and Co. Murray, Roberts and Co. report firmer tone for dx, lower tendency for cow, yearlings, kips, and calf-and'"inferior and damaged lots of the better description suffered severely." Abraham and Williams report: "Prices for hides and calf showed a slight recovery, and prices should prove satisfactory to clients." Prices realised were as follow:—Hides: ox, heavy; 17id to 24id;' ox, medium, 17d to 23d ; ox, light, 16|d to 18fd ; ox- cut and slippy, lOd to 23d ; cow, heavy, 13d to 19|d ; cow, medium, 15|d to 18d ; cow, cut and slippy, B^d to 20£ d; yearling and kip, 14^d to 22^<3; yearling and kip cut and slippy, 4d to 20j|d; calf, sound, 18d to 40^d ; calf, cut and slippy, 10£ d to 32Jd; bull, stag, B£d to 14id; horse, 7s to 27s 6d. Sundries: Rabbitskins, 20d ; horsehair, 24d; tails, lSd to 24id. ' ' ' ;
