SEQUEL TO THE DEATH OF ESTLAND

As a sequel to the. recent case connected with the death ot the racehorse Estland, Hynes, the trainer, has issued a writ claiming damages ' amounting to £1000 against Thome, the caretaker of the Rose Hill racecourse, on the grounds of alleged slander and' assault. [Estiand, a New Zealand-toed horse with a splendid turf record, was killed as the result of putting his. foot in a rabbit-hole on Eosehill racecourse. His owner, Mr. P. A. Wade, claimed against the Rosehil) Racecourse Company, and was awarded substantial damages.]
