SAILORS' FRIEND SOCIETY.
Much pleasure was derived from the programme arranged for seafarers at the Sailors' Friend Society by Mr. T. H. Jones on Thursday. Items were contributed by the following :—Mesdames F. C. Edwards and Macfarlane, and Misses Peggy Jones, M. Cooley, Ashenden, and Messrs. T. H. Jones, Thompson, H. T. Johns, Boyd, and Tucker. Major Macfarlane, Mrs. Macfarlane, and " Miss Henderson were at the piano. Mr. Moore, Missioner, led the competitions. Th« prizes came from Mrs. Edwards and the host, and went to the Alexa. It was announced that an all-day picnio for men in port would be held on King.'s Birthday, and gifts would be gladly re>ceived.
