At 9 a.m. to-day the following forecast; was Issued for the subsequent 24 hours :— Winds—Southerly, strong to gale; with a westerly tendency. tSarometer—Rise everywhere soon. Seas—Heavy on all the western coast and southward of Castlepoint; moderate elsewhere. ' Tides—Good generally. Warning signals for southerly gales are exhibited :st O;i].e Maria Van Diemen. Tiritiri (East Cape interrupted), Casttepoint, Cape Campbell, Stephen Island, Farewell Spit, Cape Fouhyind. and Nugget Point. Weiither—Cold and showery.
