COLD AND SHOWERY WEATHER

The Dominion Meteorologist reports today that cold and showery weather is likely to continue, generally. Atmospheric pressure has increased since last night in the south, and strong south' to south-west winds hare prevailed. Rain naa fallen generally, and some snow has been reported on high levels in the south. Rivers oil the west coast were reported high this' morning, and from parts of Otapjo where there has heen a great shortage of rain the rivers ware reported 'to he rising. Southerly winds, strong >to gale at times, are likely, with a i-ising- barometer. A very cold night is probable.
