The annual meeting of the Wellington Men's Hockey Association" was held in the V.M.C.A. rooms last evening. Mr. H. Anderson was in the chair, and there was a. full attendance of. delegates. The a.nnuaj report was adopted. It stated that there were five senior a-nd eight junior'teams in the competitions, and in each grade honours were closely contested. The senior championship was won by the Ramblers Club, and the junior championship by Huia. The committee placed on record.its appreciation., of the manner in which tyie membere answered the call for service abroad. Sixty-seven out of'seventy senior players were accepted for activo service. Hcfpe was expressed that in the coming season play.ers would do their utmost to place the game on its pre-wai'i footing. The election of officers resulted as follows:—President, Dr. H. 0. Faulke; vice-presidents, Messrs. M. ]?. Luckie, B. G. H. Burn, and' H. C. Hickson; ■"secretary, Mi*. C. M. Bay; treasurer, Mr. L. Butcher; management committee, Messrs. Richards, Ginger, Anderson, Boyd, Harris, Guthrie, Keen, Webley, and McGregor; vice-president New Zealand Hockey Association, Mr. W. Organ ;, delegates to New Zealand Association.. Messrs. M'Dougall and Dowries; auditors"?" Messrs. ' Morpeth and Manning ; sole selector, Mr. A. W. Manning.
It was, decided to open the season on Ist May. Entries will close on 26th April. A jotter" from the . Rugby Football League, "asking thp association to take part, in a combined deputation to- the Reserves Committ-es of the City Council on 21st April, was referred to the Management Committee.
