ISLAND BAY SURF CLUB
The presentation of cups and trophies won during the swimming season of thi Hand Bay Surf and Life-Saving Club was held at St. Hilda's Hall on Saturday evening. Colonel Hiighea, the president of the club, congratulated tho club on the success of the season, and the keen competition for the different events. Trophies were presented by the Mayor of Wellington as follow:—Laurensyn Cup, Miss'L. Skinner; Coy Cun, Mr. G. Na»l; Brabon Cup, Mi. G. gpriggins; Odlin Shield, H. Hind, C. Maddox, W. North. A. E. Maddox; Club Championship gold medal: P. Wilooxj Ladies' Club Championship, Miss X., Skinner. Other ' trophies were ivon by Mrs. D. Hall, Mrs. F. Jones, Missea K. Skinner, L. Skinner, K. Recce, N. Mitchell, E.. Mitchell, Jean Bruce, K. Collins, N. Uickard, P. Shannon. Messrs. G. Spriggins, C. Maddox, G. Neal, N. Francis, J. D. O'Keef, A. Small, U. Maddox, J. Bruce. Supper was provided by the ladies' committee, after which there was a . concert programme and dancing.
