PALMERSTON NORTH, This Day. -A meeting of ownors of land, liable to bo flooded by the Manawatu and Oroua Rivers was held ;Ito-day, and decided that a River.Board should be formed to carry' out a. scheme for improving the channels and_ constructing overflow cuts. A petition asking for the formation of such a board is being prepared. .
