Molyneux (Danube —Perle dOr) scored his first win since his return from Australia in the Awahim Hack Welter, 05. the second day of the Feilding Meeting.' The Signor gelding Heirey Clay won the principal event at the Canning Park (W.A.) Meeting last month. Blackmail's second in the Great Northern Champagne Stakes #as some consolation for the failures of 80-Peep and Activo on tile first day .at Ellerslio. Both the last-named ran last. Two other members of H. Telford's team, in Philomela and Fulica, ran second on the opening day at Feildiug, but failed on the second day when fancied by their connections. Pure Laziness (Bezonian —Purity), who opened his winning account at Feildinn, was formerly a member'of H. Telfcrd's team. " ■ ■ Kohu, top weight in the First Hack Hurdles at Trentham, won the Kildare Hurdles, two milas, carrying 11.5, on the opening day at Riccarton. Neither of the Feilding winners, was engaged. Although beaten in the Doncaster Handicap in a big field, Chrysolaus won the All Aged Stakes in a small field, Harrying 81b more, in faster time than the Doncaster was run in.
: Mr. T. H. Gordon Lloyd, who officiated as judge at the Waipukurau Meeting, had a busy time in the.box. He declared a dead heat for the HatumaHack Handicap and a dead heat for ilrst in the Oringi Handicap. . •
The Alison stable .won the two principal handicap events at Avondale by the aid of Tauunai and Rockfield. Both are useful up f --to middle distances.' Taiamai won the Egmont Cup and, Rock-, field the Te Aroha and Thames Goldfield Cups earlier in the.season. Ashley Beed rode both horses at Avondale.
In the Thompson Handicap Arrowsmith has 9.9, 101b more than ho carried in the Great Easter Handicap, run over a furlong less ground. In the Railway. For some reason or other best known tp her owner, Chimera was not nominated at Trentham. She ran two good races at Riccai-ton and will probably be seen out at JHanawatu. Chimera won the . spring race at Awapuni each day twelve months -ago when ridden by H. Gray, who also rode her when she won at Riccarton. ' Svveet Memory met with some interference in the race she contested on tho second day at Feilding, and had not arxived back at Trentham yesterday. Another competitor in the ra?u ran across her and brought her down on to her head. The services of a veterinary surgeon were, called in, when, it was found she had sustained some injuries to her shoulder. .

At the Waipukurau Meeting, Mr. G. Hunter, M.P., won the maiden race with Hindi (Mystification—Munjista), a three-year-old full brother' to Indigo. W. D-wyer put in an appearance at headquarters yesterday witn Santorim, who claims an engagement in the Hailway. Handicap. Santorini scored with 7.9 in the Denbigh\Handicap at, Feilding, and has'6lb'. less to carry here. The brown colt by imported Bardolph, from' Ringrose, purchased by Messrs Riddiford at the Sydney sales, is full brother to Pioardy (winner of the V.R.C. Flcmingto-n Stakes this season) and Ba.rraconda (also a winner as a two-year-old), and half-brother to Wishing Cap (second in Australian Cup), and Rosearial (West Australian Sires' Produce Stakes)'. . Ringrose is a sister to J3immerdale, a- winner', and dam of fiood wnners in Whiz Bang and Boil Over, both winners.
Tha withdrawal of Sasanof from the Thompson Handicap leaves Mr. W. G. Stead with two representatives in the race in Taunaha (7.5) and Golden Bubble (7.3). In flic Autumn Plate on the first day at Riccarton the first-named carried 8.7. and ran a mile in lmin 40 l-ssecs. With 161b less to .carry he must have an outside chance in the local race
Golden Bubble failed in the Easter HandicapjWithT.Qjnndin the Thompson meets the winner' of that event on 161b bettor terms. In the Challenge Stakes on the second day Golden Bubhle finished foiir lengths behind Amythas, and beat Right and Left by a head.
