WEATHER FOR THE HOOD AYS

"FAIR FOR NEXT DAY OR TWO."

Fair weather for the next day or two was predicted to-day by the Government Meteorologist (Mr. ■D.O. Bates). Indications, he said, point to a small anticyclone system to the westward of New Zealand. This should be responsible for good weather. A change in the weather conditions is dne, but Mr. Bates says that it is too early yet to state when it will occur. When questioned regarding the prospects for Easter Monday, Mr. Bates said : "We may live in hopes for the best." Westerly winds are likely to increase.by Saturday.
