.VARIOUS ATTRACTIONS.
With anything, like seasonable weather the Easter holidays should prove enjoy-i-ble to the great majority o! the people of Wellington. It is not yet .too late for picnics, and many are bound to heed the m-11 for a day.at the seaside or in the country. Special services have been arranged by tlin Eastbourne Harbour Ferries; and Day's, Bay and Roiia Bay are sound to receive a liberal share of public patronage. On Kaster Monday the trams will catp.r for big crowds likely to go to Lyall Bay, Sratoun, and Island Bay, but-on..Saturday and Sunday.only i limited aervicV.will be run. There will be no tram's at all to-morrow. Special wains'will be available to take picnickers to favoured spots on eithur line. .

Wellington patrons will be able to attend the races and return.; the.same day. . . : . The inter-University tournament will be a marked feature of the holidays. It will open with, the tennis championships on Satm-day.l; These will be played at Palmer-street^: courts. The athletic :hampionships- will be. decided at the Basin R«seryeT on Easter Monday, and the boxing championships (all weights) at the Towns! Hall on Monday evening. Other attractions on Saturday will include the tfowirig regatta, commencing it^ll o'clock; iAll races will start'from .Vh.e Taranaplstreet Wharf. Then there will be a Rtfgby match at Athletic Park -Poneke v., Pirates '(Palmerston North). The WellinggniGblf Club's tournament it Heretauiigli ■ will also be commenced. In the evenings, thire' will be the Kate Howarde Coniedy Company at the, Grand Opej'ai'Houser-tKe seasons opens ■with " 'Possum fPaddock," on Saturday oight nsual pictures shows, and vaudeville at His Majesty's Theatre.
