SAMOAN TRIP RECORDS
MANY IMPORTANT DOCUMENTS'. The Samoan trip was not by any means a holiday for the officials who accompanied the party. The investigations which were conducted into various, commercial, economic, and, racial questions, the large quantity of material collected upon entirely local. matters, and. .the statements of interviewers and deputations, together with the reports of experts accompanying the expedition, have resulted in the compilation of a considerable number of important documents. This matter was all prepared on the voyage and has already been handed to the Government Printer by Mr. J. D. Gray, Under-Sccretary for External Affairs. When completed it will be laid before Parliament and be available' to the public. Full records have been taken of all interviews, conferences, and deputations. Mr. Briggs, a member of the .Hansard staff, accompanied the party for this purpose.
