There was a Masonic ceremony in connection with the funreal of the late Captain J. G. Gilbertson yesterday, W. Bro. W. G. Faulknor, W.M., officiating. The Presbyterian Church service was conducted by the Rev. B. Hutson. ._ A number of Freemasons and representatives of shipping were amongst those who attended the funeral.' Messrs. W. E. and J. G. Gilbertson (sons), Mr. A. W. 0. Travers (brother-in-law), and Mr. R. I Harper were the chief mourners. In addition to a widow, (ive daughters and two sons, Captain Gilbertson has left two sisters —Miss Gilbertson, of Christchurch, and Mrs. W. Mijler, of Mel-, bourne.
