A magnificent brilliant tiara, of foliage and scrollwork design and surmounted by nineteen, lai-ge, pear-shaped stones of tlia finest quality, which was the property of the Duchess of Marlborough, was sold at Christie's for £25,000. The purchaser was S. H.. Harris, who said the tiara will be broken up. The auction room was crowded with women.
