GOLF

The Mornington Golf Club's 1920 season was officially opened on Saturday. Short addresses were delivered by the Act-ing-Mayor (Mr. G. Frost), Dr.' R. A. Cameron (president), and Mr. J. Bowness (captain). Mrs. Frost played the opening shot. ' During the afternoon a mixed foursomes competition was played, the winners being Miss Taylor and Mr F. o,'Sullivan. The afternoon tea,, and the tastefully decorated tables, were a credit to Mesdames Fergus and O'Sullivan and the ladies who were in charge of the arrangements. The present state of the links reflects great cerdit on the efforts of the caretaker (Mr. ■'Rawlings). -..■■■■-,••■•
