ENGINEERS' STRIKE
AN UNCERTAIN POSITION
ANYTHING MAY HAPPEN.
(UNITED TRBSS ASSOCIATION.—COPTRIGHT.)
SYDNEY, 23rd February. While .the shipping companies' officials confidently expect the idle fleet to commence to move on Wednesday, and they are making preparations to despatch the vessels at an hour's notice, the Engineers' Institute says that anything may happen. There is no certainty that the executive will accept the Controller's, terms. The executive ftels sure that the ships will not move by Wednesday. It believes that the strike is nearing an end, but how near it cannot say.
