The shipment of fruit (16,000 cases) which is to be sent to England from Wellington' next month by the Port Caroline, and which will arrive at Home when the market there is bare, will be by far the largest yet sent Home from the Dominion. The fruit will be placed in cool store in Wellington for about a week before it is shipped.
The annual general meeting of. the Thistle Football Club will be held in ths Scottish Hall, Courtcnay-place, on Thursday evening. '
