Harry, Leonard Malthus, postmaster at Edendale, was charged at Court to-day with theft of £300 paid him by a farmer to invest in the War Loan, Accused admitted the offences, stating that he had been- heavily involved through betting, and would replace the amoxuit. Accused was committed fof sentence.
