DARGAVILLE, This Day

At a meeting of the Dargaville Chamber, of Commerce held last night a strong protest was made against the_ unsatisfactory week-end steamer service,, and the following motion was unanimously agreed to :—"That this chamber protests to Mr. Nicoll, manager of the Kaipara S.S. Company, against the injury to the district caused by such an unsuitable steamer as the Tiirirangi running on Saturday' and Sunday, and lirges, unless provision can be made to run _ a larger steamer, that consideration begiven to the proposal to dispatch a larger steamer on Friday night, returning to Helensville on Sunda.y."
