ALLIES IN FULL ACCORD
NEW PRESENTATION OF LISTS.
(RBOTEB'S TELEGBAII.)
PARIS, 7th February.
The Council of Ambassadors unanimously decided that the list of German war criminals shall be again handed to the German Government. . It also approved of. the text of an accompanying Note. Subsequently Lord Birkenhead stated that the Allies are in complete accord ou the point that the list should ba again presented in Berlin immediately. The situation which has arisen regarding the Allied list was largely due to a misunderstanding.- It is understood that the French and Belgian portions of the list were not seen in England. Thus thAe is no question of a British volte face, but of Britain being committed to lists without seeing them. Happily the visit of the Lord Chancellor and Attor-ney-General to Paris resulted in completely clearing up the affair. 1 The British lists remain unmodified.-
