FARMER DROWNED
INVERCARGILL, This Day. William J. Plunket, aged 47, a, wellknown farmer, was drowned, in the Oreti Edver on Sunday, while bathing. A companion endeavoured to rescue him, , but was dragged under the water. When the body was recovered life was extinct. A month ago a child of the deceased was drowned in a sheep-dip. • <j> • ■
