Thirty-two passengers and twenty-eight of the crew of the stranded Princess Anne were taken off in police boats. Forty-four of the crew were left onboard. The rescuers fought the- ice and heavy seas for hours. The weather is now moderating, and tugs are trying to pull the vessl off. [The Princess Anne was driven ashore at Roekaway Point (Long Island, New York) during the recent blizzard.]
