THE TOURING NOMADS
DEFEAT WELLESLEY CLUB,
The tour of the Nomads was concluded 011 Saturday, when they met and defeated a team from the AVellesley Club on the Wellington College Ground. The club batted first, and compiled 206 runs, of which TuckwelJ was the chief contributor with a nicely-played 81. Wilson and Giliner, junr., also played confidently against gcod bowling. Nqmacls's inuingr, totalled 285 runs, Latham, Collins~, Orton, Ongley, and Cave all batting well. Collins retired at 60, after v really fine display. Another remarkable performance was mad© by Ortori, whose 26 runs were 111a.de> up of five 4's and one 6. Scores : — WELLESLEY CLUB—First Innings. The Nomads have 'played seven matches, defeating South Taranaki, Wanganui, Rangitikei, Manawatu, Wellington, and Wellesley Club. They have only been beaten pijcc-r-by tho North team.
