Mr. Lloyd George,, accompanied by 50 officials, has gone to Paris to attend the Inter-Allied Conference, which will really amount to a second Peace Conference, dealing with the most momentous questions. The questions foi decision include the trial of the ex-Kaiser and his accomplices. It is sta>ted! that the British Government adheres to the declaration of Mt. Lioyd George that the ex-Kaiser and the other guilty persons must be tried. Meanwhile Germany is agitating against the surrendering of the vvai criminals. Berlin is developing a. society called the "Save Yom Honour League." The Berlin Government is being urged to defy the Allies, and,to tell them to come and fetch the guilty parties. If the Allies do, surprises are promised.

The futuz'e of Constantinople ia another big question. It is hinted that the British may adopt the French view, to leave the Turks at Constantinople, but establishing machinery for guarding the Straits. s

BERLIN, 7th January. Tha question of surrendering officers accused of war crimes to the Allies ia the chief topic throughout Germany, and is likelj to embarrass the Government considerably. The Conservative press demands that the officials should disobey the orders to hand over the war criminals.
