NEW MAPS FOR OLD

Cartographers have not been slow in reminding- the public that pre-war maps are now quite out of date. This is no doubt true, but even apart from considerations of economy, which bulk so largely at present, the schools of this country would be well adviaed not to scrap all their old atlases. However inadequate these may bo for teaching the geography of the new world, they could be made very useful where history is concerned. They could also be made still more instructive, in cases where either staff or pupils possessed the necessary skill, if the now boundaries wore eketohed in aTonffAide ot the old one.
