KIGOMA DUE MONDAY,

'A. radio message received from the Kigoma states that the vessel will arrive- at Wellington on Monday evening from London.

THE BREMEN

According to cable- advice, the Bremen, en route from England, left Capetown on sth January for Hobart and Wellington. The vessel is due at Hobart on 27th January and. at Wellington about 3rd February.

WAITEMATA WITH COAL,

The Union Steam Ship Company has bee» advised that the. Waitemata left Newcastle on Thursday morning for Wellington with 7500 tons of coal and 100 tonß of timber and coke. The vessel should reach Wellington oh Wednesday morning. ■

LIBERTY FEOM PANAMA,

Cable advice has been received by Dalgety and Co. that the V.S. and A. Line steamer Liberty resumed her voyage from Panama on 3rd January. The vessel, en route from New York, put into Panama for repairs some tima a»o Auckland should be reach»i! about 28th January and Wellington about 3rd February. Discharge will be made at X-yttelton, Duncdin, and Australia.

QUARANTINE.

It has been decided that in future overseas ships bound for Dunedin, whether they are berthing at Port Chalmers or not, must remain at the quarantine ground at Port Chalmers until the Port Health Officer's inspection has been completed. This position has been arrived at in view of the fact that the ships cannot be held up in the stream for inspection; and further, should any ship on arrival at Dunedin be found to be infected she would have to return to Fort Chalmers for quarantine.

At 1 a.m. to-day the Kahika left Greymoutb' for Wellington. The Manuka Is to leave Sydney next Thursday for Wellington.

The Blenheim is to sail for Eicton on Monday next to load sheep foi- Petone. The Kowhai sails from .Lytelton to-day on Monday with a load of wool for Wellington. Early this morning the Tarawera sailed from Wellington witb genera! cargo for Sydney.

The Karma is to leave Wellington this evenirjg for Lyttelton to discharge Newcastle coal.

The Komata was to sail from Westport this morning for Wellington, where she is due tomorrow morning.

The liner Durham is to replace the Opawa on the loading berth at St. John, and will follow the Orari. which is now loading there.

Tin route from Australia, the New Zealand Shipping Company's steamer A]ana left Durban on 3rd January, for London.

Next Friday ths Monowai is due .at Wellington from Auckland and ports, and will sail at 5/p.m. the same day for Dunedin.

On 6th January the Paparoa arrived at Newport News from Wellington, en route to London. The vessel sailed from Wellington on 30th November.

With cargo for Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, and Dunedin, the Waimate is to leave Canada on 15th January. The route taken will, be via Panama.

While the Mapourika is taking the Patcena's running bctwen Wellington and Picton and Nelson she will sail from Wellington at noon instead of at 1.30 p.m.

The N.Z. Shipping Company has been advised by cable that the ex-German steamer Lucy Woermann left Colombo on.3lst December for Australia, en routa from London.

Last evening the Armagh left Auckland for Wellington, in continuation of her voyage from New York. The vessel is due at Wellington in time to commence discharge on Monday morning.

The Northumberland is due at Auckland from Sydney on Monday next and at Wellington on Saturday next. The vessel will later load at .Napier and Wellington, and will sail on 10th February for Liverpool. It is probable that the Rosamond, sailing from Wellington on Monday for New Plymouth and Greymouth, will be for some time employed in the West Coast-Wellington timber and cargo trade, taking cargo each trip.

To discharge the remainder of her cargo from Liverpool, tile Rimufcaka is to leave Wellington on Tuesday for Lyttelton and Port Chalmers. Loading will be done at Picton and Wellington, and the vessel will sail on the 7th February for Home.

On Thursday next the following boys -will join the training ship Amokura:—David N.
