TRAMWAY DISPUTE
The Auckland City Council, the Wellington City Council, and the Christchnrch Tramway Board, through the Mayor in two instances and the Chairman in the other, have now expressed a willingness to meet the individual unions in connection with the demand for a national agreement. The possibility of an amicable settlement is spoken of very hopefully in, Auckland and Christchurch.
