tO THE EDITOR. Sir, —Everybody recognises the fact, that this is a move-along age, and that motor vehicles are here.to stay. For that reason it is quite time more, energetic measures were taken, to enforce the bylaws relating ,to the speed of motorbikes, etc., before 3ome fatal accident once more directs attention to the matter. lam living at Karaka Bay, which just now is much, frequented by children and holiday-makers, who aro necessarily a good deal upon the road which skirts the beach. There are several motorists here who will persist in careering madly up and down the waterfront, striking terror into the hearts of pedestrians, especially those having the care of young children. I therefore hope'this note may draw the attention of the powers that be to the matter.—l am, etc., FOR THE SAKE OF THE :• CHILDREN. I 7th January. _,■
