Ai the breaking-up ceremony in connection with Island. Bay School Mr. J. O» Shoriand, chairman "of the School Comwuit-je, spoke of the success of tho. school in standard work and in the field of sport, Mr. R. A. Wright, M.P., was then called upon to address the children, and afterwards presented proficiency and attendance certificates, and special prizes given by members of the School Committee. The headmaster, Mr. Thwaites, referred to the excellent spirit of the school in work and in play, and thanked those who had "made donations to the school.
