Tromwaymen's wages were briefly mentioned at last night's meeting of the City Council, when the Mayor said that he regretted that a wrong complexion had been placed on his statement that he would recommend the payment of the nxtra bonus of Id per hour, which the Arbitration Court had decided should operate from Ist January'next. The proposaJ to pay the bonus would not affect any negotiations for a settlement of the dispute which was pending.
