Moana, at 1 p.m. • ' POSTAL ARRANGEMENTS FOR THE HOLIDAYS. On Wednesday, 24th December, correspondence addressed to streets "in the city and suburbs will be delivered from the Letter-car-riers' Department (entrance upstairs from Featherston-street at the Chief Post Office) from 8 to 9 p.m., also the public delivery counter will be open for delivery of correspondence addressed to the Chief Post Office from 8 to 9 p.m. The parcel delivery counter will be open from 8 to 9 p.m. On Thursday, 25th December - (Christmas Day), the Postal Department will be closed in all its branches. . Mails for despatch by steamers foiling on Christmas! Day will close at 8 p.m. on the previous evening. The only despatches of mails by trains oa Christmas Day will close as follows:—For Wairarapa, Hawkes Bay, Manawatu, Rangitikei, Wanganui, and Taranaki districts at S p.m., late-fee midnight, previous evening. For Auckland and Auckland district, at 8 a.m. on Christmas Day. Tho city and suburban receivers will be cleared at 2 p.m. only. On Friday, 26th December (Boring Day) the Chief Post Office will be open in all its branches (except Money Order and Savings Bank) from 9to 10 a.m. Mails for despatch by steamers will close at 8 a.m., and the only despatches of mails by train will close as" follows:—For Wairarapa, Hawkcs Bay, Mauawatu, Hang:tikei, Wanganui, and Taranaki districts at 8 p.m., late fee midnight, previous evening; for Auckland and Auckland district at 8 a.m. on Boxing Day. There will be one delivery by letter-carriers in the city and suburbs, for which correspondence must be posted at the Chief Post OBice by 7 a.m. The city and suburban receivers will be cleared at 2 p.m. only. TELEGRAPH HOTJKS. The Chief Telegraph Office will observe the following hours during the Christmas and New Year holidays:—Thursday, 25th December, 1819 (Christnas Day), 10 a.m. to 10.30 a.m., and 5 p.m. to 5.30 p.m. Friday, 20th December, 1919 (Boxing Day), » a.m. to I p.m., and 7 p.m. to midnight.
