The bright, cheerful entertainment provided by "The Diggers" was, well patronised last night at the Opera House, although the Election excitement was co keen. From start to finish the performance went with a swing, and nearly every jnember was encored. Special mention should be made of the first overture by the orchestra, "Maid of the Mountains," which was a delightful number, and also the recitations by Cyril Scobell, though it would be pleasant to hear the latter in some less pessimistic selections. Messrs. Tom Fama, Stan Lawson, and G P Hanna, and the various "Sweet Singers" were all greatly appreciated by th« audience,
