DEPUTATION TO MIEAMAE , BOROUGH COUNCIL.

A deputation, of members representingthei Seatoun and Bays' Progressive Association waited upon the Miramar Borough Council this week with reference to affairs o£ local interest. Speaking for tKo association, Mr. B Kellovr pointed out that the track known as the Kakariki- track was unsafe for hanoed, aa the track was largely used by children.. Minor improvements in connection with the men's and women's shelter sheds on the foreshore were also stressed.

With regard to the question of erosion, he Would not reply ma general way, but would havo a full report of the matter prepared and forvrardod to tho Seatoun and Bays Progressive Association. He was in sympathy with what had been said, and could aestire the deputation that this affair had not m? OTOrl°oked by his council. The Borough Engineer (Mr. T. 0. Fox) briefly stated that difficulty had been experienced in obtaining suitable labour. In the last six weeks on ono day only had it.been, possible to proceed with work. Councillor E. Collie emphasised the fact that tho council had devoted considerable time to dealing with the question of erosion, and was not neglecting its duties in this respect.
