MR. W. D. LYSNAR.
Mr. W. D; Lysnar, Independent Reform member for Gisborne, is one of the best-known men in that district: Ho has at different times been associated with the civic government of the town, and has held the position of Mayor. It was in his term as Mayor that the-project_ of an electric tram service was carried through. He has been a' director of the Gisborne Fanners' Freezing Company, and some years ago he had much to do with the establishment of the Bristol and ■ Dominions Producers' Association.
