Mr.- A. L. Monteith formally thanked those electors of Wellington East who voted for the Labour candidate, himself. He specially thanked the ladies and gentlemen of his . cpmmittee who had worked so -hard ■in an- endeavour to secure-his return. He was eorry that he had.not been successful. (Aloud.
