"WITH COLOURS FLYING"
Mr. Dunbar Sloane, the defeated Liberal candidate for Wellington Suburbs, who followed, was accorded a lika reception. He thanked those people who voted for him, and also those who had not done so but would have liked to. (Laughter). It had been a very good contest, and had been, he believed, unique in the history of the Dominion, as not one single personality had been! mentioned. He asked for cheera for Mr. Wright and Mr. Croskery. (These werd given, intermixed with groans.) He went down with big colours flying, but) he'would come back again very soon, and seek their support, and he believed ha would get it. (A voice: "No you won't."} Mr. Sloane repeated bis thanks, and wiflidrew.
