LONDON MARKETS.
The Department of Agriculture, Industries, and Commerce has received the following cablegram, dated 13th inst., from tho High Commissioner for New Zealand, London:—
"Meat—Maximum wholesale and retail prices same as last quotations,, but retailers and consumers can purchase unlimited quantities imported meat from any source. Owing to large supply and congested stores, importation of ollaVis prohibited after end of December, unless under license of Food Ministry, but license will bo granted in case of New Zealand up to quantities authorised to be shipped iv 5 per cent, refrigerating space. Hemp—Manila: Better demand during this week; market closed firm. 'J', grade Octobcr : December shipment to Janu-ary-March shipment now quoted at £51 sellers. 'J' grade arrived and sold yesterday £50. New Zealand market quiet but firm. High points on spot quoted £60; fair has been sold for £45 on spot. October-December shipment nominal; quotations are _4S 10s and £45 respectively. Wool—Market is active. Prices for medium and coarse crossbreds hardening."
